PSG Set to Complete Lucas Digne Signing on Four-Year Deal After Club World Cup

Paris Saint-Germain are set to complete the signing of French left-back Lucas Digne, with the defender expected to sign a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2029.

The move is expected to become official after the FIFA Club World Cup, when PSG will formally activate the player’s release clause to finalize the transfer.

Digne, who has built a wealth of experience in European football, is expected to strengthen PSG’s defensive options as the French champions continue to reshape their squad ahead of the new season.

The decision to delay the formal announcement until after the Club World Cup is understood to be part of the club’s transfer timetable, with all necessary procedures expected to be completed once the tournament concludes.

If completed as expected, the four-year deal will see Digne return to Ligue 1, where he previously featured before establishing himself in several of Europe’s top leagues.

PSG are continuing preparations for the 2026/27 campaign and view the experienced full-back as an important addition to their squad.
