Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has reportedly unfollowed his wife, Natasha Osawaru, on Instagram following reports of a confrontation between the couple at an event in Abuja.
The development comes hours after reports emerged that Natasha allegedly confronted the singer during the grand opening of Faze’s 90s Lounge in Abuja on Friday night, where 2Baba was billed to perform.
According to reports, Natasha arrived at the venue with security personnel and some men, leading to a confrontation with 2Baba and members of his team.
A senior member of the singer’s management team reportedly alleged that Natasha and the people accompanying her attempted to take 2Baba away from the venue against his wishes. However, the allegation has not been independently verified, and details surrounding what triggered the reported confrontation remain unclear.
There has also been no confirmed public statement from either 2Baba or Natasha providing their account of what happened at the Abuja event.
The reported incident has nevertheless attracted considerable attention because of the couple’s highly publicised relationship, which has faced several controversies in recent months.
Following the reported clash, attention shifted to the couple’s social media activity after 2Baba was reportedly noticed to have unfollowed Natasha on Instagram.
The move has sparked fresh reactions among fans and social media users, with many interpreting it as another indication of tension between the couple. However, an Instagram unfollow alone does not establish the state of their marriage or confirm that the reported confrontation was responsible for the development.
The latest development also comes against the background of previous public controversies surrounding 2Baba and Natasha.
In February 2025, 2Baba publicly confirmed his relationship with Natasha and expressed his intention to marry her. He later became the subject of intense public scrutiny following his separation from actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia.
The singer has previously urged members of the public to stop escalating reports about his relationship and asked fans to allow him and Natasha to resolve their private issues. In February 2026, he also dismissed claims that Natasha controlled his movements and public appearances, describing some reports about their relationship as sensational and based on unverified allegations.
The reported Abuja confrontation therefore adds another layer to the continuing public interest in the singer’s personal life.
For now, it remains unclear whether the reported clash will lead to any legal action, whether anyone was arrested, or whether the parties involved sustained injuries. There has also been no independent confirmation of the allegation that an attempt was made to abduct the singer.
The reported Instagram unfollow is, however, a development that has further fuelled speculation among fans and followers.
