Sowore Offers Legal Help to DJ Chicken, Says He Doesn’t Deserve to Be in Prison

Human rights activist and AAC presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has offered to support popular social media personality DJ Chicken by helping him challenge the criminal charges filed against him.

In a statement shared on Monday, Sowore appealed to anyone who has contact with DJ Chicken’s family or relatives to help establish communication, saying he is ready to provide legal advocacy for the entertainer.

Sowore in his statement says, DJ Chicken should not be behind bars and deserves to enjoy his constitutional right to liberty while his case is handled through the legal process.

“I want to help get DJ Chicken out of prison because I do not believe he deserves to spend a day behind bars; he is entitled to his liberty under the law,” Sowore said.

The activist also criticized what he described as the continued prosecution of young Nigerians by the current administration, arguing that more should be done to create opportunities for the country’s youth instead of exposing them to prolonged legal battles.

He maintained that young people need support, mentorship and justice rather than what he called “persecution and endless incarceration.”

Sowore further made allegations against Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, claiming he should be investigated instead. However, he did not provide evidence to support the claims in his statement, and those allegations have not been independently verified by Shemariah Media.
