‘I Cried So Much’ - Mr Macaroni Opens Up About Difficult Years, Thanks Those Who Supported Him
Nigerian comedian and actor Mr Macaroni has opened up about some of the difficult experiences he has faced in recent years, revealing that he became emotional after receiving messages from people he had previously helped.
In a post shared on his social media platforms, Mr Macaroni said he cried after reading messages from different people recounting things he had done for them, many of which he said he no longer remembered.
He said he had always believed that the reason God had blessed him was so he could give back to others, but the recent experience made him realise that he also needed to be thankful for the support he had received.
Mr Macaroni said he had been focusing too much on what he had lost instead of appreciating how he had survived what he described as one of the hardest periods of his life.
According to him, he had become accustomed to giving rather than receiving because people assumed he had enough. He also said he found it difficult to ask others for help, even when he was struggling.
He revealed that during the difficult period, he sought help from several people and reached a point where he was considering giving up.
The comedian particularly thanked an unnamed individual whom he said God used to settle all his outstanding debts.
He described the person’s repeated assistance as extraordinary and said the support gave him hope when he felt everything was over.
Mr Macaroni also thanked his close friends, whom he collectively referred to as “Mr Macaroni & Friends,” for standing by him during the difficult period.
He expressed appreciation to music executive Don Jazzy, saying the support had extended from his university days to the present and that he was grateful for the help he had received, as well as Don Jazzy’s support for others.
The comedian also thanked footballer Victor Osimhen and Pastor Bolaji for their support.
Reflecting on his current situation, Mr Macaroni said he was now in a better place and was learning and engaging in things that make him happy.
He said he did not regret the things he had done to improve the lives of others, but acknowledged that the experiences of the past few years had taught him important lessons and given him greater clarity.
He ended his message with a call for love to remain stronger than hatred, thanking everyone who had supported him.
“May the love in our hearts be forever greater than the hate in the world,” he wrote.
