DJ, Play Me Palava By Fela - Objectv Media CEO Reacts to Police Invitation

Police Special Fraud Unit invitation letter sent to Objectv Media CEO

The Chief Executive Officer of Objectv Media has reacted to an invitation from the Police Special Fraud Unit, PSFU, in Lagos, asking him to appear for a fact-finding interview in connection with an ongoing investigation.

In a statement shared in reaction to the invitation, the Objectv Media CEO appeared to respond humorously, questioning why the police were looking for him while also confirming that he would honour the invitation.

“Breaking! Lol… Who dey use police find me. Police at Fraud Unit? Me, Fraud? Ok no problems,” he wrote.

He added, “#BeObjectv is coming on Tuesday @PoliceNG,” before asking a DJ to play Fela Kuti’s song “Palava.”

The invitation letter, dated September 18, 2026, was issued by the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Police Special Fraud Unit, located on Milverton Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.

According to the letter, the police said they were investigating a case in which the media executive’s name “featured prominently.”

The letter requested him to attend an interview with the Commissioner of Police, PSFU, on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 11:00am through the Deputy Commissioner of Police Secretariat.

The document specifically described the invitation as a “fact-finding invitation” and stated that his cooperation would be appreciated.

The police also advised him that he was at liberty to attend the interview with his lawyer.

The invitation does not state in the document that the Objectv Media CEO has been charged with fraud or found guilty of any offence. It says only that his name featured prominently in a case being investigated by the Police Special Fraud Unit.

The development comes as the media executive publicly acknowledged the invitation and indicated that he would appear before the police on the scheduled date.
