I Made At Least ₦10m Monthly From Akara And Bread - Governor Umo Eno
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has shared how his early business ventures included selling akara and bread, saying the enterprise generated at least ₦10 million in monthly revenue.
Eno disclosed this while recounting his entrepreneurial journey, explaining that he combined the sale of akara and bread with a coffee business targeted at workers heading to their offices in the morning.
According to the governor, his business served workers, including employees of ExxonMobil, who would purchase the akara-and-bread combination alongside coffee before heading to work.
“We still have that shop there, and I started selling akara and bread. We were doing bread and akara burger. We opened the bread and put akara in it for you,” Eno said.
He explained that the business eventually became a significant source of income, generating no less than ₦10 million every month.
“That akara business and that bread used to give me not less than ten million naira, not less than that,” the governor said.
Eno’s account highlights his experience in business before entering politics and his involvement in different entrepreneurial ventures.
